How can you change your state of mind by choice? PDF Print E-mail
There are steps to change your state of mind, and to learn how to move from one mental state to another -- from boredom to curiosity, for example. Or from hope to anticipation. How do you do this?

First, develop the acuity and awareness to recognize what "state" you are in ... or about to be in. Next, understand how to go to a more neutral state in order to shift gears. Then, make a good choice about what state you do want to be in. And sometimes, just like changing gears in a car, it can take a few intermediate states to get to the one you want right now.

That's what we practice in our EQ & PQ training -- how to shift gears. How to avoid getting stuck in an old menu of states. You learn to create a new menu of states that you prefer -- new recipes for resourcefulness and joy.

But there is something that can hold you back, and that is if you have beliefs that slow you down or keep you stuck. Some people think it might be "cheating" to change your state of mind -- that there are "real" emotions that deserve center stage. Others may secretly believe that they don't "deserve" abundance, creative genius or financial freedom. And sometimes, old habits (and old states) are part of who we think we are.

It's natural to hesitate on the threshold. And the techniques we use are supportive and thorough enough to invite you to cross into a new realm of dynamic and valuable choices.
